2025
- Congratulations to Grant for his first peer-reviewed manuscript from his work in our lab, published in the Journal of Biomechanics! Link (March 2025). He found the ability to modulate the complexity of muscle coordination is associated with walking balance control in older adults.
- Congratulations to Mohammad for his first peer-reviewed manuscript from his work in our lab, published in the Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation! Link (January 2025). He used musculoskeletal modeling techniques to explore the extent to which abnormal motor modules are emergent from abnormal biomechanics.
2024
- Grant, Kaitlyn, and Dr. Allen gave talks about their ongoing work at the 2024 Annual Conference of the American Society of Biomechanics in Madison, WI (August 2024)
- Congratulations to Grant, Kaitlyn, and Mohammad for passing their Ph.D. qualifying exams/proposals! (July 2024)
- The NeuroMob Lab received a Pilot Grant from the UF Claude D. Pepper Older American’s Independence Center. (May 2024) They will be exploring the neuromuscular control of walking balance in older adults spanning a range of balance abilities in both laboratory and real-world settings.
- Congratulations to Mohammad for his first preprint paper from his work in our lab! He used musculoskeletal modeling to explore pathological walking biomechanics. Link (April 2024).
- Dr. Allen and Kaitlyn attended the 2024 OpenSim Advanced Users Workshop (March 2024)
- Dr. Allen received an NSF CAREER Award to support the lab’s research on neuromechanical modeling for gait neurorehabilitation. Link (February 2024)
- Dr. Allen and colleagues’ perspective piece on computational modeling for neurorehabilitation was published. Link (February 2024).
- Congratulations to Kaitlyn on her first 1st author manuscript! This manuscript is a result of Kaitlyn’s undergraduate research at the University of Delaware. Link (January 2024)
2023
